Southern California has a number of ancient geoglyphs. Having lived on an Indian reservation, I was privy to ancient sites. These sites would be unrecognized unless you were shown the specific areas. While hiking through one of the areas I discovered a trident symbol on desert varnished rock. My theory is that there were megalithic structures that have decayed over a thousands of years and exist under desert varnished rocks.
