Dear Coop Radio Board of Directors and your actual agent in fact LEELA CHINNIAH.
1. This attempt to improperly cancel the MONDAY BROWNBAGGER on manufactured grounds has in my opinion been improperly instigated by LEELA CHINNIAH in an attempt to cover up criminal acts committed on the premises of Coop Radio by a known person to which we have witnesses, namely the creation of a COINTELPRO TYPE video tape falsely accusing Kevin Annett of having committed a disciplinary action at Coop Radio.
2. Alfred Webre did not slander anyone on the air. In fact if anyone was slandered on the air it was Alfred Webre as demonstrated by the following email of Don Nordin.

Hello All,
I just spoke to Alfred by phone. As some of you know, I and my wife are in Ecuador receiving health treatment. I caught the Monday Brownbagger special on the archive.
I complemented Alfred on his interview with Leuren Moret. The topic could have hardly been more important. But I was upset with Molly's retort after Alfred's initial statement in which he commented that several programmers were unable to get into Co-op radio resulting in 2 hours of dead air. The fact is that Molly, as operator, acted completely out of line in making any comment, but especially a comment that contradicted a fellow programmer. It is clearly her job to handle the programming function in as a professional manner as possible - and that's it, period. The result of Molly's thoughtless interjection, as I immediately realized, was that it would tend to make Alfred look as a liar and therefore would have a negative impact on the potential fundraising capability of the program, which appears to have been the case. The apparent truth was, as clarified by Alfred, that those programmers could not have entered the station through the hotel due to a recent changes in regulations. Molly did not seem aware of this change in regulations and so her statement was therefore false. And yet I am also told by Alfred that 3 telephone calls were received from listeners during the fundraising program basically complaining that Alfred had made a false statement, when it was Molly who had made the false statement.
This incident as described above is yet another "straw that is breaking the camel's back" coming in the aftermath of the banning of Kevin Annett's program and all of the negative press that has resulted from that arrogant and damaging action that has apparently further crippled Co-op radio.
Thanks to some truth telling by the Agora newspaper and the actions of a group of grassroots native people that have supported Kevin Annett, the internal affairs of Co-op radio have been made transparent for all to see. This is the outcome of this crisis and can potentially lead to long term, positive change. All that remains is for the public to be made aware that such change is being sought for and has been achieved within Co-op radio. Then Co-op will regain lost support as the public sees that the station realizes its problem, has again become functional and is seriously engaged in self corrective action.
Co-op radio has obviously reached a major crisis point that demands foremost, serious soul searching by every programmer and every member. Also there also needs to be fundamental structural change in the manner that Co-op radio's internal affairs are conducted. Co-op needs to be run in a democratic, professional and business-like manner, not as a private club that indulges in arbitrary decisions. We can no longer run away from or cover up serious problems as if they did not exist. That is why I support Alfred Webre's resolution that is to be put on the agenda of the November AGM, although I fear that the same old divisions will be at play that will prevent any real resolution of Co-op's long standing and major internal problems. It is the replay of this behaviour pattern that has to be put an end to.

I am presently in Buenos Aires and reserve every legal, moral, and journalistic right to expose the above.
I request that this email be physically served on LEELA CHINNIAH and sent to every member of the BOARD so that each has full notice of these facts.
