Director of proposed 1977 Carter White House Extraterrestrial Communication Study will call for federally-funded Education about and Public Interest Diplomacy with advanced Off-Planet Cultures now visiting Earth.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Alfred Lambremont Webre, JD, MEd, International Director of the Institute for Cooperation in Space (ICIS), will call for an Earth Day Exopolitics Initiative: The Decade of Contact - a 10-year major federally funded public education program about advanced Off-Planet Cultures now visiting Earth, including the initiation of public interest diplomacy with these Off-Planet Cultures.

The Decade of Contact is set out in Webre’s new book EXOPOLITICS: POLITICS, GOVERNMENT AND LAW IN THE UNIVERSE (Universebooks 2005), launched at Washington’s 2d Annual Exopolitics Conference (April 22-24, 2005).   Exopolitics is the evolution of Webre’s work as a futurist in 1977 at the Stanford Research Institute, where he directed a proposed extraterrestrial communication study project for the Carter White House. Webre was General Counsel of the NYC Environmental Protection Administration and Consultant to the Ford Foundation’s Public Interest Environmental Law Program.   Webre was also a witness for the Disclosure Project, which on May 9, 2001 held a National Press Club press conference with high-level governmental, military-intelligence, and academic whistleblowers urging disclosure of an extraterrestrial presence on Earth.

In Exopolitics, Webre writes, “Exopolitics provides us with a 21st century universal paradigm, a new dominant world-view. The scientific paradigm of the 20th century was that intelligent life ended at Earth’s geo-stationary orbit. The Exopolitics model informs us that, in reality, Earth appears to be an isolated planet in the midst of a populated Universe.”  According to Webre, “The Decade of Contact is 10 year process of formal, funded process of public education, scientific research, educational curricula development and implementation, strategic planning, community activity, and public outreach about our full cultural, political, social, legal, and governmental integration into a larger Universe society.”

The United Nations General Assembly first approved an Exopolitical Initiative on December 18, 1978, when the UN General Assembly adopted decision 33/426, 1978, stating that: “The General Assembly invites interested Member States to take appropriate steps to coordinate on a national level scientific research and investigation into extraterrestrial life, including unidentified flying objects, and to inform the Secretary-General of the observations, research and evaluation of such activities.”

Dr. Brian O’Leary, former NASA Astronaut and colleague of the late astronomer Carl Sagan at Cornell University, says about Webre’s book EXOPOLITICS: "Much of this book rings true.  Certainly, our civilization cannot go on as we have. We will need all the help we can get to lift ourselves out of tyranny, genocide, and ecocide.  So why not reach out toward those who are clearly more wise?"

“The last time the United States had a President running on an Exopolitical Platform was 1976, when Jimmy Carter, who had a UFO Close Encounter in 1969, ran on a promise to open UFO/ET Government Secrecy and won.  We now need political candidates, public officials, and governmental bodies who are committed to an Exopolitical Platform of Open Disclosure, Publicly funded Education, and Public-Interest Diplomacy with spiritually-advanced off-Planet Cultures now visiting Earth,” Webre says.  “Mainstream scientists are concluding that civilization – as we know it – may be extinct by the end of this century because of probable ecological catastrophes caused by climate change, nuclear war or earth changes. To survive, we must transform the permanent warfare economy into a sustainable, cooperative Space Age society, release our addiction to fossil fuels, and move toward new, clean, renewable energy sources.  An exopolitical approach to these challenges may well provide us with ecologically sound, life-saving solutions – a legacy of hope for our children and all future human generations.”

The Earth Day Way to Global Peace

Earth Day is an essential element of a culture of peace, agreement and cooperation. Earth Day starts from the most fundamental thing, our relation to the planet, and spans to the highest aspiration of a cooperative planetary civilization.

It does so by connecting the natural cycles of the planet to the spiral of human evolution, creating common ground for actions that benefit people and planet.

Since no one owns Earth Day, Earth Day is open for every one to step into this evolutionary perspective and use its symbolic power for transforming the seemingly limited abilities of cultural understanding into a common cause. The symbol cannot be "used up," because it is real and not a cultural icon.

A lot of prominent people have supported the Equinox Earth Day . (Example - 33 Nobel Laureates.)

It was San Francisco, the city of St. Francis, that originally brought Earth Day to life. Cities are the environments in which we inhabit our planet and the shape of the cities is the human face of the planet, visible from outer space at night.

Unlike nation states, cities do not wage wars, they are constructed around life's essential problems and life-support systems. They are the melting pot of cultures, the place where humans meet and, as visionary Paolo Soleri has expressed it, prepare the next steps in human evolution.

Earth Day helps people and their cities "think globally and act locally."

Earth Day was inspired by the words and actions of Jesus...whose message was "Peace on Earth, Good will to men." His true followers have always converted enemies instead of making them skeletons.

President Bush -- who claims to be Christian -- is the enemy of Jesus and all he said and did. Its time for Peace Christians to demonstrate that the power of real love can always bring non-violent resolution of differences. Follow the ways of peace that his true followers have demonstrated (St. Francis, Martin Luther King, Jr., etc.) and we will have the Peace On Earth that Jesus promised.

It is so simple.....
we either learn to live together or we die together.

Iam a Christian by Gods Grace. Iam sure that most of us know if don't learn to accept what Christ Teaching is the only way we are going to evolve and a sustainable evolution for the Humanrace.

The way I see it we either do this the easy way or the hard way .. It's our choice.

Everytime, I appoach this site I read words where is the action.....ACTION.... Where?

I just wish they stop this bullshit and lay it all on the table enough is enough.!!!!
