Vancouver city officials reviewing EcologyNews questions on Fukushima cesium 137 now confirmed in Vancouver, BC waters
VANCOUVER, BC = The Vancouver City Clerk's office has now confimed that the Director of Emergency Management, the office of the City Management, the office of Vancouver Mayor Gregory Robertson, and the Vancouver City Councillors have received official questions submitted on February 27, 2014 for their review and response.
Canadian researcher John Smith, a research scientist at Canada’s Bedford Institute of Oceanography in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, has now found Samples of cesium-134 and cesium-137 from Fukushima, Japan in the waters off Vancouver, BC., as the radioactive plume from Fukushima, Japan has just begun to arrive off our city of Vancouver, BC. and are expected to peak by 2016.
The dangers to human health of cesium-134 and cesium-137 however low are cumulative in the human body and are set out in this 20 minute video by international expert Steven Starr.
